We had a great time celebrating National School Counseling Week! The theme this year was “School Counselors Amplify Student Success,” so we had a musical week amplifying and teaching about the many ways Ms. Harris helps students! Check out pictures from our spirit day today (green for mental health awareness!) and the winners from our Friday Lyric Lesson Challenge! Ms. Harris considers it her privilege to serve the students and families in our wonderful school community!

All school and district offices are closed to students, staff, and the community.

All school-related and community group activities are canceled.
Nonpublic school transportation services are cancelled.
Please take care and enjoy the snow day.

If a school closure becomes necessary on Monday, January 26, or Tuesday, January 27, both will be utilized as traditional snow days. Our calendar allocates two such built-in days for severe weather, which means schools will be completely shut down, and students are encouraged to enjoy winter activities safely at home. If weather conditions prevent a safe return to classes on Wednesday, January 28, we will implement a FID day (Flexible Instruction Day). Further details about utilizing a Flexible Instruction Day will be shared at that time.

She attended the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association (PSCA) Conference, where she presented on the vital topic: "From Compassion to Companioning: Understanding Children's Grief and Loss."
Her presentation will help other school counselors across the state learn the best ways to support grieving students in their communities. We are so proud of her dedication and expertise!

Murray Avenue students participated in an engaging laser and music assembly with "Mr. Ty" on a mission they called the "Kindness Quest." The event focused on discovering the meaning of kindness through lessons on empathy, awareness, and compassion.
