Murray Avenue Student Council sponsored our first "Homeroom Pumpkin Decorating Contest"! The level of creativity was off the charts!
Thanks to the PTA for organizing and sponsoring our 2nd Annual Scarecrow Festival! It was great to see so many of our community members there!
Unity Day is an opportunity to come together and show that we are united against bullying. The Murray Avenue commUNITY is wearing orange today to show a visible message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. This is one of the several activities we are doing during National Bullying Prevention Month. Students are talking about teamwork and what it means to be united today, creating a unity chain in which they commit to sharing kindness in our school, and learning about how we strive to be a place that is No Place for Hate!
Throughout the month of October, students have been competing in "The Upstander Challenge!" Ms. Harris, our school counselor, has students answer one question each week about bullying to help students learn how to identify bullying and be an upstander to help stop bullying. Each week, 15 students who answer the question correctly have a chance to play "The Upstander Challenge" and earn prizes! We are so proud of our students for challenging themselves to learn about bullying prevention and be part of creating a culture of respect at Murray Avenue!

LMTSD Students have exceeded growth standards in all PSSA Math and English Language Arts (ELA) grade levels. The district’s high school students also exceeded growth standards in Keystone Biology and met the growth standards in Keystone Algebra I and Keystone Literature.
